2006 Milbank Fireworks
Show
Lake Farley Park
Milbank, South Dakota
Duane setting 12" mortar tubes into the
ground.
A view of the Lake Farley crowd
for the Milbank Farley Fest.
The Pyro Crew unloading racks and shells.
A view of the bunkers used to hand fire 3", 4", 5" and 6" shells
Three pictures of the waterfall off of the train bridge.  Notice the
"cakes" and roman candles placed as an additional effect to the show.
A picture of our American Flag all lanced and fused for display.  This is larger than it looks as it stands 12 feet high and 24 feet long.
Donated by Gavin Angerhofer of Milbank Lumber.
Here are several piictures of the ordinances
before the fireworks show.  The tin foil caps
help protect from any falling sparks or fire to
prevent early ignition.  The Mountain Dew bottle
in the picture did not survive.
The first song was the theme song to Mission
Impossible, where we used 150 feet of quick fuse
strung on wire between posts to give the effect as
seen on the old Mission Impossible show.
One of two Z-patterned cakes used as a front
effect.
Many photos of the Milbank Fireworks Show.  All of the effects are put to music.  Notice the center picture with glittering
waterfall parachutes beginning to open and float.
The "Day After"..... all live shells and cakes have been examined and picked up the night before.  The clean up
of the racks and wires and spent cakes are part of the process.
A big THANK YOU goes to
Marlow Oltman for letting
Milbank shoot the show on his
farmland.  This is by far the
best shoot sight available
anywhere.
Several pictures of willow and brocade shells.  The charcoal flakes used in these
shells product a gold color with duration.
Some pictures of crossette shells as well as the puffs of smoke that are left as the shell
explodes in the air.  Also some good shots of the beginning of the finale.  Thanks to the Grant
County Review for the pictures.
